A full road closure of West Leawood Dr will be in effect from S. Jay Ct to S. Ingalls St, starting Monday, July 13, 2026, ending on Wednesday, July 15, 2026.

This closure is necessary for the installation of a concrete raised pedestrian crosswalk. Detour routes have been established and will be clearly posted with all necessary signage. Message boards were placed on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, to notify the community of the upcoming closure. Residents within the work area will have access to their homes and have been notified.

The Ken Caryl Ranch Water and Sanitation District is completing emergency repairs to a broken sanitary sewer main at West Ken Caryl Avenue and South Simms Street / West Chatfield Avenue.

Currently, the intersection is closed except for right turns as drivers approach the intersection. Left turns and straight-through movements from all directions are not permitted.
