Temporary road closure of Jill Drive will be closed to traffic from Black Mountain Drive to 9245 Jill Drive on 8/25/25 through 8/26/25 from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.
The road will be closed due to a failing culvert being replaced.
A detour route (detour map PDF) is planned, and message boards will be placed with the road closure information.

Labor Day Weekend Schedule:
In observance of the Labor Day holiday, no traffic impacts are planned on September 1.
Daytime Traffic Impacts:
Intermittent single-lane closures can be expected on Little Cub Creek Road from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2 through Friday, September 5. No lane closures are planned on Jefferson County Highway 73 during daytime hours.
Overnight Traffic Impacts:
Construction Noise Advisory-
Highway 73 may be reduced to a single lane approaching Little Cub Creek Road from 6 p.m. to midnight (possibly later) as crews perform sheetpile driving for a new box culvert. Louder than normal construction noise can be expected during this time.
Other Overnight Impacts-
Intermittent single lane closures may be in place during overnight hours on Highway 73 and Little Cub Creek Road. Overnight lane closure hours are from 7 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Construction to improve the West Ken Caryl Avenue and South Simms Street / West Chatfield Avenue intersection is expected to occur between July 21 and December 31, 2025.
There will be times when the number of travel lanes will be reduced along the project site. The speed limit will be reduced with fines doubled in the construction zone. Alternate routes are advised.
